Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless, skinless chicken thighs for extra juiciness)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium works best)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)
- 2 tbsp water
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Dredge the chicken tenders in flour, dip them into the beaten eggs, then coat them in flour again. This double coating makes them extra crispy!
- Fry to Perfection: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- Make the Sauce: In a separate pan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir it into the sauce. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Coat the Chicken: Toss the crispy chicken into the sauce, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve over rice or with stir-fried veggies.
Notes
? Pro Tip: Add a splash of rice vinegar or a squeeze of fresh lime juice for a touch of tanginess!
